💡Forget creative freedom

👉 When making something you’re passionate about it’s easy to focus on the art & craft, and forget everything else. Focusing on making money will — in turn — set the craft and art free.

💡80% result with 20% effort

👉 Get on the right side of the Pareto principle and search for the core feature that will get your product 80% of the way with 20% effort.

💡Build cheap sh*t and measure it

👉 Don’t go beyond a crude prototype before your start testing in the wild on a live audience. Measure numbers, gut feel and heart. Adjust accordingly.

💡Test for immediate stickiness

👉 How long does it take for someone who hasn’t seen you product before to hand it back when you give it to them?

💡If sticky, then focus on FTUE

👉 Once your prototype has proven sticky, go straight to working on removing and reducing barriers to entry.

💡Commercialise the minimal product

👉 Your product can find an audience much sooner than you would think. And often an audience willing to pay you for your efforts. How can you get paid sooner?

💡Retention, retention, retention!

👉 You want your audience to stay with your product as long as possible. Start from the beginning, find and present the fun and grind barriers down.

💡Great is the enemy of good

👉 Good is good enough most of the time. Don’t let the pursuit of great stop you shipping something good.
